What is water?
I would love to start by telling you what water is. I’m sure that would be a nice place to start but what would I say?….
H20…
Your pour it down your throat?… It has a taste but it’s also at the same time seemingly tasteless. Some people think it’s yak while others delicious. And nowadays? You can find it in different flavors.
But… all that’s not important. What, however, does have some some significance of importance is the following.
Why do we need water?
Well in short, for our health. So water firstly is needed by all cells in our bodies to work. It carries nutrients to all cells in our body and oxygen to our brains.
Water allows the body to absorb and assimilate minerals, vitamins and all other important substances.
Water is used for drinking, domestic use, food production, recreational purposes, water supply and sanitation among other things.
To cut this short, you need water to live.
Some of its benefits

So… I won’t go into full details on the benefits of water but I will try and name as much as I can for you.
1. It improves your mood
2. It boosts your energy
3. It detoxifies
4. It hydrates (dehydration is a serious problem)
5. It maximizes physical performance (you get to do more)
6. It aids in digestion
7. It regulates body temperature (I feel like I might have problem with this… not sure.)
8. It aids in weight loss (that’s a fact)
How to get the most out of water

So in case you don’t know, drinking water once in two weeks doesn’t help much in the grand scheme of things.
I would suggest a few things to ensure that you are getting the most out of your water, namely:
1. Drink enough water
Drink an average of 11 cups of water a day if you are a woman and an average 15 cups if you are a man. Or alternatively you could look up how much water to drink for your weight.
2. Set goals
Set goals and have a plan regarding how much water to drink, when to drink that water and how to drink that water.
You need to keep track of your water intake to maximize the impact of your water intake. You can do this either through an app or through manual planning.
3. Have a water filter
A lot of the water we get through our taps even though it’s clean it is not always a 100% clean.
It is said that most healthy adults can drink tap water and not have any problems as it is theoretically clean but research is showing that there are in fact some cases where the tap water is not that clean.
So be on the safe side and get your self a water filter either for your home or just a personal one in your bottle.
You can order yourself a nice safe water filter from epic water filters.
Having a water filter might just be the way to get the most out of your water.
How to make water fun

So I know for most people (myself kind of include) drinking water is a problem. It feels like a chore and is not so nice and enjoyable.
Luckily the are ways to spice up your water and make it more fun and help you to actually look forward to drinking your water, namely:
1. Have a fun looking water bottle.
Something nice and attractive to your eyes will help you look forward to drinking water.
2. Flavor your water
Fruit infuser water bottles are a healthy option and so are filter bottles. Adding some lemon, cucumber or lime definitely helps.
3. Sip throughout the entire day.
You don’t have to drown 11 cups all at once. Keep a water bottle and sip throughout the entire day.
4. Eat more foods high in water
If water is still not doing it for you (although I highly recommend you drink water) you can try eating foods with high levels of water for example watermelons.
Some interesting facts about water.
° our brains can shrink from dehydration.
° water is the healthiest hydrater.
° a person can survive for only a week without water but up to a month without food.
